Title: Will I See My Dog In Heaven?
Date: October 08, 2017
A Viewer Asked Me: “Will I See My Dog In Heaven?”
My answer is a story: A woman cautiously and mindfully pussyfoots her bare feet with her eyes downturned in the early dawn along a woodland path slow-breathing a mindful rhythm. She breaks no twig, makes no sound, precisely advancing over roots, rocks, and a rivulet.
She is in meditation as she moves mindful’ heartfully. Her ears attuned to sounds that surround her, to the rill of the rivulet, a breeze through trees, a rustling of leaves made by scampering creatures, and summer’s songbirds.
Her belly breath leads her movement, her mind leads the breath, her heart leads her mind, and her senses combine converting her from a praying person into a person being prayed.
One chickadee comes singing next alighting on a branch nearby.
They meet eye-to-eye, bird and human, animals, suddenly seeing inside the other, simultaneously, the Radiant Light of Divine Being—they both behold The One Light beaming from the other’s heart-center--sharing.
She lifts her extending finger, and bird lifts, lands and clutches there, their eyes never parting. Bird lingers, then lifts again and hovers with wing tips brushing her twin cheeks, tiny talons curled under touching her chin, beak to nose tip touching, eyes never parting both seeing the Radiant Inner Other.
Let’s Pray: Uniting Light of all being and beings, we thank you for Your undying love that sustains life everywhere, all the time, even in the ever after Paradise. Amen.
A thought: Light from Light lives inside all beings.
